In 2020 the shift in Channel 5's perception was complete as the brand won Channel of the Year at both the Royal Television Society and the Broadcast Magazine awards.

It was the culmination of a run that also included Creative Team of the Year at Promax, a first ever BAFTA, a first ever D&AD pencil and being named best channel at the Edinburgh Television Festival.
